What’s a song that changed your life?
I sat here thinking about it, and honestly, nothing comes to mind.
I love music. I like turning it up and rocking out. Rock and roll, rap, a little bit of everything. Country does absolutely zero for me, but beyond that, I’m pretty open.
I’ve just never been the guy who dives deep into the lyrics, studies what the artist meant, or hears a verse and suddenly looks at his whole life differently. If something sounds good, I turn it up. That’s about the extent of my analysis.
Music can get me going during a workout or make a drive a little better. But I can’t point to a song and say, “That one changed everything.”
Maybe other people have that connection. I get it. I just don’t have a story like that, and I’m not going to make one up because a daily prompt asks for it.
Some days these questions give me plenty to write about. Today’s got a pretty short answer.
No song has changed my life.
Doesn’t mean I won’t turn the fucking radio up.
