Pack Light. Keep Moving.

What’s one piece of travel advice you always follow?

Pack very light. Never check a bag.

That’s my rule. Whatever I’m bringing needs to come with me.

I don’t want to start a trip standing in line to hand over a suitcase, and I definitely don’t want to finish a flight waiting around a baggage carousel. When I get there, I want to grab my bag and go.

There’s something freeing about having everything you need in one small bag. You can carry it yourself. You know where your stuff is. Getting from the airport to wherever you’re going becomes a whole lot easier.

I think people pack for too many “what ifs.” Before you know it, you’ve got enough clothes for three different vacations, and you’re dragging all of it around for a few days away.

I’d rather put a little thought into what I actually need. A few things that work together. The essentials. Leave some room.

If I need to do laundry, I’ll do laundry.

The point of going somewhere is to enjoy being there. I don’t want managing my belongings to become part of the itinerary.

And honestly, that thinking carries over into life. Everything you bring along takes up some space, needs some attention, and becomes your responsibility. It’s worth being intentional about what makes the trip.

For me, the travel rule is simple:

Pack light. Keep your bag with you. Get on with the adventure.
