There is no perfect time.

I think that’s one of the biggest lies we tell ourselves.

We’re going to start when we have more money.

When business slows down.

When the house sells.

When we get the right equipment.

When somebody finally helps us.

When we feel motivated again.

But life doesn’t work like that.

There’s always going to be something.

A bill. A problem. A relationship. A broken car. A deal that falls apart. Somebody who doesn’t call you back. Something that costs twice as much as you thought it would.

If you wait until everything lines up perfectly, you’ll spend your entire life waiting.

At some point, you have to flip the switch.

Nobody Is Coming

That sounds harsh.

It isn’t.

It’s freedom.

The moment you accept that nobody is coming to save you, you stop waiting for permission.

You start looking around at what you already have.

A phone.

Knowledge.

Experience.

A garage.

A computer.

A customer.

An idea.

A few hours.

Whatever it is.

And you ask a completely different question:

What can I do with what I have right now?

That question can change your life.

Because most of the time, we don’t actually need more resources.

We need more resourcefulness.

Momentum Comes After You Start

People think they need motivation before they take action.

I think it works the other way around.

Action creates momentum.

Momentum creates motivation.

You make one phone call.

Finish one job.

Post one video.

Clean one room.

Make one sale.

Write one article.

Solve one problem.

Then suddenly you don’t feel stuck anymore.

Nothing magical happened.

You moved.

And movement changes everything.

That’s why I believe so much in stacking daily wins.

They don’t have to be enormous.

One win becomes two.

Two becomes five.

Five becomes a productive day.

Enough productive days can completely change the direction of your life.

Use What’s Already in Your Hands

We live in an unbelievable time.

One person with a smartphone can build an audience, create a brand, advertise a business, sell a product, teach something, learn something, communicate with thousands of people and document the entire journey.

Twenty years ago, some of those things required employees, equipment and serious capital.

Today, a lot of it fits in your pocket.

So the excuse that we’re waiting until we have everything figured out doesn’t hold up anymore.

You don’t have to know exactly where the road ends.

You just need to know the next move.

Then make it.

The Next Move

Maybe you’re buried in debt.

Maybe business is slow.

Maybe you’re rebuilding.

Maybe you’re starting completely over.

Maybe everything looks great from the outside and you know deep down that you’re capable of much more.

Fine.

Start there.

Don’t spend six months creating the perfect five-year plan while doing nothing today.

Figure out what moves the needle today.

Make the call.

Do the work.

List the house.

Fix the car.

Post the video.

Ask for the business.

Build the product.

Learn the skill.

Collect the money.

Then wake up tomorrow and do it again.

Flip the Switch

I’ve had periods in my life where making money felt easy.

I’ve had periods where everything seemed to fight me.

I’ve built things.

I’ve lost things.

I’ve started over.

And if experience has taught me anything, it’s this:

You don’t think your way back into momentum.

You work your way back into it.

The comeback isn’t one giant move.

It’s hundreds of ordinary moves made when nobody is watching.

That’s where I’m at.

No waiting for perfect circumstances.

No waiting to feel ready.

No waiting for somebody else to make something happen.

Just execute.

Today.

Then tomorrow.

Then the day after that.

Because eventually all those small wins start stacking on top of each other.

And one day everybody sees the result.

They just didn’t see the thousand decisions that built it.

Nobody’s coming to save you.

Good.

You don’t need them to.

Flip the switch.
