Sleep Is Earned, Not Hacked

What do you do to improve your sleep?

Most people are looking for the perfect supplement, the perfect mattress, or the perfect routine to sleep better.

I’ve found something different.

When I spend the day moving forward—getting my workout in, writing a blog, filming a video, fixing a vehicle, having a meaningful conversation with a friend, and making progress—I don’t have to force myself to sleep.

I simply get tired.

Good sleep starts long before your head hits the pillow.

It’s built by the decisions you make all day.

I’ve also learned that shutting my mind down means putting the phone away, lighting a cigar on the deck once in a while, reflecting on the day, and appreciating how far I’ve come instead of worrying about how far I have left to go.

No day is perfect.

Some nights are still restless.

But the more I live with purpose, the less my mind races when it’s time to sleep.

Tomorrow will bring another chance to stack another win.

That’s enough for me.

Sleep isn’t something I chase anymore.

It’s something I earn.

The best sleep doesn’t come from a better pillow. It comes from knowing you gave today everything you had.
