People assume that after more than 25 years in the car business, my best investment was buying the right vehicle.
It wasn’t.
It was investing in myself.
Every book I read.
Every skill I learned.
Every mistake I survived.
Every business I started.
Every day I decided to show up instead of making excuses.
Those investments continue to pay me back.
Cars depreciate.
Knowledge compounds.
The funny thing is, most people spend months researching a vehicle they’ll replace in a few years, but they won’t spend thirty minutes reading something that could change the next thirty years of their life.
I’m guilty of that too.
As I’ve gotten older, I’ve realized the greatest return on investment doesn’t come from timing the market or finding the perfect deal.
It comes from becoming a better version of yourself.

Ask questions.
Build something.
Stay curious.
Nobody can repossess your knowledge.
Nobody can steal your experience.
Nobody can take away the lessons you’ve earned.
If you consistently invest in yourself, everything else has a chance to improve along with you.
Looking back, that’s been the best investment I’ve ever made.

They happen quietly.
One book.
One lesson.
One skill.
One decision to keep showing up.
The return isn’t instant…
It’s who you become.
