What’s a time you followed your gut and it turned out to be exactly right?
Your gut isn’t magic.
It’s experience talking.
People call it intuition.
I think it’s something much simpler.
Every decision you’ve made, every mistake you’ve survived, every lesson you’ve learned, and every rep you’ve put in leaves behind a pattern.
One day, those patterns become instinct.
That’s what most people call “trusting your gut.”
One of the biggest examples for me has been walking away from deals that everyone else thought I should take. On paper they looked great. The numbers made sense. But something felt off. Every time I ignored that feeling, I ended up learning an expensive lesson. Every time I trusted it, I protected my time, my money, or my peace.
There have been a lot of moments in my life where I had to make a decision without having all the answers.
No spreadsheet.
No guarantee.
No perfect plan.
Just a feeling.
After more than 25 years in the car business, I’ve learned that every deal, every mistake, every conversation, and every challenge leaves behind a lesson. Over time, those lessons become instincts.
I’ve walked away from deals that looked great on paper because something didn’t feel right.
I’ve bought vehicles other people overlooked because I saw something they didn’t.
I’ve made business decisions that didn’t make sense to everyone else, but they felt right to me.
And yes, there have been times I ignored that quiet voice.
Almost every one of those decisions taught me the same lesson.
I should have listened.
The hardest part is learning the difference between fear and intuition.
Fear tells you to stay comfortable.
Intuition tells you to pay attention.
Fear gets louder.
Experience gets quieter.
The older I get, the more I’ve realized that the quiet voice is usually the one worth listening to.
It isn’t luck.
It isn’t magic.
It’s thousands of experiences stacked on top of one another until your mind recognizes patterns before you consciously do.
That’s why I believe showing up every day matters.
Every workout.
Every blog.
Every video.
Every conversation.
Every mistake.
You’re building experience that your future self will one day call intuition.
Trust the work you’ve put in.
Trust the lessons you’ve earned.
And when that quiet voice speaks…
Don’t ignore it.

Ego screams.
Learn which one to listen to.
