Who Inspires Me Most?

Who are you most inspired by?

I saw a prompt today that asked a simple question: Who inspires you most?

The older I get, the easier that question becomes to answer.

It’s not celebrities.

It’s not influencers.

It’s not the people with the biggest houses, the most followers, or the loudest opinions.

The people who inspire me most are the people who keep showing up.

The older gentleman still building his business in his 80s.

The friend who always answers the phone.

The father who keeps trying even when things aren’t easy.

The entrepreneur who opens the doors every morning whether they feel like it or not.

The person fighting a battle nobody knows about and still showing up with a smile.

Lately, I’ve been paying more attention to those people.

Maybe it’s because I’m getting older.

Maybe it’s because I’ve spent 25 years in business.

Or maybe it’s because after all these years, I’ve realized success leaves clues.

And one clue keeps showing up over and over again.

Consistency.

Not talent.

Not luck.

Not perfect timing.

Consistency.

I’ve watched people build incredible lives simply because they refused to quit.

One day at a time.

One workout.

One sale.

One conversation.

One blog post.

One video.

One promise kept.

Most people dramatically overestimate what they can accomplish in a week and underestimate what they can accomplish in ten years.

The people who inspire me understand that.

They don’t need attention.

They don’t need applause.

They don’t need someone standing over their shoulder telling them what to do.

They just keep showing up.

Those are my people.

Those are the people I admire.

Those are the people who inspire me most.

And the more time I spend around them, the more I realize that inspiration isn’t found in perfection.

It’s found in perseverance.

Some of the people who inspire us the most never realize the impact they had.
