One of the biggest mistakes people make is expecting results too soon.
They go to the gym for two weeks and don’t see much change.
They start a business and don’t make money fast enough.
They launch a YouTube channel and don’t get the views they hoped for.
They write a few blog posts and wonder why nobody is reading them.
Then they quit.
The problem isn’t that their strategy was wrong.
The problem is they stopped before the compound effect had a chance to work.
Most things worth having take longer than people expect.
The first few days don’t look impressive.
Neither do the first few weeks.
In fact, the beginning is often the most discouraging part because the effort feels disconnected from the results.
You’re putting in the work.
But the scoreboard barely moves.
That’s where most people walk away.
What they don’t realize is that success often grows quietly at first.
The early days are spent building foundations.
Building habits.
Building skills.
Building trust.
Building momentum.
None of those things are easy to measure.
But they’re all necessary.

The gains are often invisible right up until they aren’t.
The people who benefit from the compound effect aren’t always the smartest.
They aren’t always the most talented.
They’re usually the people who stayed around long enough for it to kick in.
Most people quit during the boring part.
