The Hardest Part Is Showing Up When Nothing Is Happening

Everybody talks about hard work.

Everybody talks about discipline.

Everybody talks about consistency.

What nobody talks about is how quiet it gets.

You start the business.

Nothing happens.

You post the video.

Nothing happens.

You write the blog.

Nothing happens.

You go to the gym.

Nothing happens.

At least not right away.

That’s where most people quit.

Not because they’re incapable.

Not because they aren’t talented.

Because they mistake silence for failure.

I’ve learned that progress is usually invisible before it’s obvious.

The first few videos don’t matter.

The first few workouts don’t matter.

The first few blog posts don’t matter.

Not individually.

What matters is that you keep stacking them.

One on top of another.

Most people are looking for proof that it’s working.

The people who eventually win don’t need proof.

They trust the process long enough to let the results catch up.

I think that’s why so many people never get where they want to go.

They stop during the quiet part.

They stop when nothing seems to be happening.

They stop right before the momentum arrives.

The strange thing is that when momentum finally shows up, it feels obvious.

People notice.

Results appear.

Opportunities show up.

Doors open.

And everyone thinks it happened overnight.

It didn’t.

It happened during all those days when nobody was watching.

The days when nothing appeared to be happening.

Keep showing up.

One day you’ll realize something was happening the entire time.

It was happening to you.

Nothing appears to be happening.

That’s usually when the most important things are happening.

Most people quit during the quiet part.

Keep showing up.
