For the last decade, I’ve thought about starting a blog.
Not once.
Not twice.
For years.
What’s funny is that I already owned the domain the entire time.
NFAFinance.com wasn’t just a website. It was a huge part of my life.
Years ago, it was the online home of my Buy Here Pay Here operation. At one point, the site was getting thousands of visitors a day. Customers found us through it. Deals came through it. It represented something I had spent years building.
Then life changed.
I moved.
Business changed.
My focus shifted.
But I never let the domain go.
Every year I’d renew it.
Part of me always believed I’d do something with it again.
I just wasn’t sure what.
For a while, it sat there.
For a while, I thought about turning it into something else.
For a while, I told myself I’d get around to it someday.
But someday has a way of turning into ten years.
The truth is, I wasn’t ready.
Back then, I probably would have written a post here and there, disappeared for a few weeks, then forgotten about it entirely.
Today is different.
I’ve become much more disciplined.
Consistency isn’t something I struggle with anymore.
Whether it’s creating content, building businesses, working out, or documenting the journey, I understand the value of showing up every day.
And that’s when the bigger picture finally became clear.
This blog isn’t just about Buy Here Pay Here.
It’s not just about cars.
It’s not just about real estate.
It’s not just about business.
It’s about documenting the journey.
People ask me all the time:
“What exactly is it that you do?”
Honestly, that’s never been an easy question for me to answer.
I’ve been involved in dealerships, financing, real estate, investing, entrepreneurship, content creation, consulting, and a hundred other things over the years.
Trying to explain all of that in a short conversation is difficult.
This blog solves that problem.
Now, instead of trying to explain it, I can show it.
I can document the deals.
The lessons.
The wins.
The mistakes.
The businesses.
The ideas.
The people.
The projects.
Everything.
I also believe it can help people.
I’ve spent decades in the Buy Here Pay Here business. I’ve learned lessons the hard way. There are things I’ve experienced that could save someone else years of frustration, money, and mistakes.
Maybe those lessons become articles.
Maybe they become videos.
Maybe they become courses.
Maybe they become books.
Who knows?
The point is they finally have a home.
The funny thing is that I don’t really care whether this blog explodes overnight.
Ten years ago, I probably would have obsessed over views, comments, likes, and traffic.
Today, that’s not the goal.
The goal is to create.
The goal is to document.
The goal is to build something useful.
If it helps people, great.
If it grows into something bigger, even better.
But either way, I’m finally taking action.
Looking back, I wish I would have started sooner.
Then again, maybe I wasn’t supposed to.
Maybe I needed ten years of life, business, mistakes, wins, and experience before I understood what this was really supposed to become.
Now I get it.
And now is the time.
So this is day one.
Let’s see where it goes.
